Santana Mays began her career in Extension in 2019 as a 4-H Agent Associate in Montgomery County and transferred to Baltimore County in 2022. Before becoming a 4-H Agent, she was a program assistant for Baltimore County 4-H. She holds a bachelor's degree in History and Educational Studies from Juniata College. Santana grew up on her family's dairy and grain farm, where she was first introduced to 4-H. Santana is responsible for organizing, developing, implementing, and evaluating youth education programs within Baltimore County. She also works closely with families, community members, and program volunteers. Santana specializes in animal science, agriculture, and camping. 4-H provides experiential learning opportunities for youth, leading to the development of life skills.
